Questions
Do your milking machines use pulsators?
Dansha Farms™ milking machines and kits do not include pulsators on any battery powered ( 12v etc. ) milkers but instead use a straight vacuum system. Pulsators are not needed for vacuum milking.
The way Dansha Farms vacuum pumps work is after turning on the pump and establishing vacuum to the point of milk flow, you then turn off the pump. From this point you may gently massage the udder to help the milk flow. Once the flow of milk slows you re-start the pump. So on and so forth.
Do your milking machines have adjustable speeds?
The way that Dansha Farms™ milking machines work is you start up the pump and bring up the vacuum, when you see the milk start to flow you stop the pump and then when you see the milk flow slow down you re start the pump. So the milk flow is constantly speeding up and slowing down.
Do the milking machines have adjustable suction?
The suction that is created by any Dansha Farms™ milking machines are not adjustable as the suction is based upon the initial seal that is created when applying the the suction cup to the teat.
Where are the milking machine tubes attached?
The Dansha Farms™ milking machines make use of varying sized wide mouth jars, the tubes are connect to the underside of the lids with a polyurethane to provide a rigid lid and an air tight connection so a powerful vacuum can be obtained. The cement used becomes “inert” and not porous through the manufacturing of the lid. This means the Dansha Farms™ polyurethane seal is sterile, stable and will not give any odor or contaminate your milk.
Can I use your milker while its plugged in?
Operating a Dansha Farms™ Off Grid PRO milking machine while it is plugged into an electrical source runs the risk of lowering the efficiency of the battery within the machine. This can lead to prematurely needing to replace the internal battery.
All other Dansha Farms™ milkers should NOT be used while plugged in.

Safety
What is the substance under the lid of the milker jar?
The substance under the lid of the Dansha Farms™ milk jar is a food grade polyurethane. Polyurethanes are derived from chemicals called disocyanates and polyols that undergo a reaction to form an inert substance – polyurethane. Substantial research has shown polyurethanes to be safe and inert.
The reason for this polyurethane is to insure proper seal around all of the hose to lid connectors. The polyurethane cement is “inert” and is not porous when it hardens so that milk or any other cleaning agents will not penetrate it thus preventing bacteria and odors. It will not contaminate your milk. This also provides consistent vacuum for the duration of your milking keeping your animal teats safe.
Do I need to strain the milk?
Because the Dansha Farms™ vacuum milking system is sealed and the milking jars are also sealed, straining the milk is not necessary.

What are the recommended milking practices?
- Animals like consistency. Milk at the same time each day, follow the same routine.
- Wash your hands. Dirty hands spread disease.
- Wear nitrile milking gloves to reduce the spread of mastitis causing germs from your hands. The small cracks and crevices in human hands harbor a lot of bacteria, including contagious staph aureus.
